Quote of the day " Don't put off until tomorrow what you could do today".
So, listen to the Hedonist, and if you find yourself in New York today, tomorrow or any time till the 25th of September, don't miss the New Museum's latest show, The Keeper.
The New Museum is an institution that prides itself on being a leading destination for new art and new ideas. Its location, its beautiful spaces and the young minds behind the curtains provide a wonderful introduction to the contemporary artistic scene.
Today we walked for you the four floors of exhibits... Join us in our daily adventure!
Do you remember when, as a youngster you used to collect coins, or stamps or whatever made you shiver with excitement?
Well, you won't believe your eyes when you will step into this cave of Alibaba.
We were left speechless ( and so many others with us ) when we set our gaze on the thousands of objects that inhabit the museum right now. From the 387 houses of Peter Fritz to the mesmerizing Teddy bear projects and its 3000 family-album photographs of people posing with teddy bears, the exhibit will leave an impression in your heart!
Through this collection and others, the exhibition also emphasizes images and objects that testify to historical trauma or dramatic events, representing the act of preserving as a resolution to bear witness and to remember.
This is a show about objects, people behind the objects, obsessive attachment, foreverness and mortality, passion and disruption.
For art lovers and not only, we invite you down the rabbit hole into the wonders of The Keeper... Your hedonistic ego would approve...
